Meet Hazel. She came into the the Haven this month after her owner past away. She is a Special Need kitty. Hazel is almost blind and she has feline leukemia.

She is in good heath as of today. She live with the rest of the Feline Leukemia positive kitties in the "Kitty Angle Club"

WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Puffy Paws Kitty Haven™ Web site.

We are located in beautiful Englewood Florida. We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue.

We are made up of all volunteers. No one gets paid. When you donate rest assured your donation dollar benefits the kitties not the folks who are taking care of the kitties.

We are proud of the fact that we are the only local animal rescue organization in our area,that has been featured on " THE NEW YORK POST " Web site.

Here at Puffy Paws™,we specialize in taking care of special needs kitties that would have been euthanized elsewhere, simply because someone would have deemed them to be unadoptable.

We care for kitties with feline leukemia & FIV, blind kitties, feral cats, epileptic kitties, kitties with only one eye, 20 years old kitties, Kitties that do not use their cat litter box, kitties with thyroid conditions.

We have the 2000 sq feet " Haven Home " which has our healthy adoptable kitties, and our permanent residence who have physical, emotional and behavioral problems. Our 2nd building we have is called, The Kitty Rescue Center which is 800 sq feet which we have nick named the " Kitty Angel Club ". Many of our Special needs kitties live their.

Currently our adoptable kitties are at Loving Care Animal Hosptial located in Englewood, Florida. Since our adoption program started we have found over 300 kitties "Fur-Home".

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Our main financial support for the kitties comes from monetary donations just by asking for a helping hand and our Donation & Storage Center ( Thrift Shop).

Sadly its been a uphill battle in the small town we live in.We are the least financially supported & recognize rescue and we take care of the most kitties in a no- kill environment than anyone else. In addition to this we are an all volunteer organization. What more can you ask for from a rescue ?

With Facebook, MySpace,YouTube, Cakewrecks & craigslist we have supporters from all over the World and we are very grateful for this fact.

Everyday we still must ask for help outside our Community so that we may keep continuing our mission in helping the special need and unwanted kitties under our care .

* They Eat Over 50 Ibs Of Wet & 36 Ibs Of Dry Food A Day

* The Kitties Use 480 Ibs Of Litter A Day
* Vet Care Ideally Is Around $100 Dollars A Week
* It Cost Around $150 dollars for the kitties daily needs
* In addition to these daily cost - It cost around $2,000 a month to operate Puffy Paws.
