Puffy Paws Kitty Haven Is Waving Its Adoption Fee

Puffy Paws Kitty Haven is proud to announce that we are waving our adoption fee.

Many kitties and kitten simply need a home and that's the goal of the program is to place these loving animals in a safe and secure environment.

Puffy Paws has decided to waive its traditional adoption fee, which can range from $50 for kitties 8 years old and older and up to $72 for kitties younger than 8..

Puffy Paws adoption guidelines are still in place to make sure the kitties are being placed in responsible loving homes.

"It's an exciting time over here and we really need the community involved in our adoption process," said Chrissey Kingston ,Co- Founder of Puffy Paws Kitty Haven. " We have so many kittens and kitties at the Haven that need Fur-Ever homes we need to think outside the box and find these little guys families" .

Puffy Paws needs the Community help to make this program work.To fully vet a kitten that comes into the Haven it cost around $100.00. This includes spaying or neutering, distemper - 4 in 1, deworming with strongid, rabies, feline leukemia / FIV combo testing , flea, tick and ear mite treatment if needed.

Saturday Open House Is Cancelled And Now You May See The Kitties By Appoinment Only

Since we are the only rescue in the area waving its adoption fee we are exepting lots of folks who would like to find that new best friend for life.

So to make it easier for folks and thier busy schedules the kitties at Puffy Paws have decided that they will be canceling Saturday Open House and go back to appointment only.

This will work better for both the kitties and the folks who want to come out and find a friend for life. So please call 941 -623 - 8904 to make an appoinment

Pet Food & Supply Drive

Puffy Paws Kitty Haven is urging everyone to remember the Community’s animals as well as the people who have been adversely affected by hard economic times.

Puffy Paws is asking for donations of kitty litter and dry non-perishable and unopened cat or dog food cans. Puffy Paws is also asking for cat and dog toys and supplies.

They will be handing the donated items out on a first come ,first serve basics at Puffy Paws Kitty Haven Donation Center as supplies and food comes in.

Did you say dog food and supplies but you’re a Cat Haven.

That’s right the kitties have decided to help the doggies out in the Community because "Unfortunately, many dog owners just like cat owners have been affected by the current economic climate, and in turn, pets are feeling the pinch, too," said Rick Kingston Co-founder of Puffy Paws Kitty Haven.

" We're introducing this program so people won't have to go hungry because we know that people will feed their pets before they feed themselves in this day and age. Also they may not consider surrendering their companion animal due to lack of food and supplies. Our goal is to keep more cats and dogs with the families who love them."

FPL Bill & New Duct Work & Air Handler

We are current on the FPL Bill as of today !
Our next bill is $1,011.81 dollars and is due by August 24th , 2009 .

We also spend over 3,000 dollars in getting a new air handler with a heavy duty filtration system and major work to the air duct system in the Haven.
This work was paid by Audrey Kingston. A great big Meow goes out to Mom once again.

As you know we always need help with the FPL bill and if you would like to defray the cost of the bill please donate. Only you can help today !

Puffy Paws Kitty Haven - Kitty Care & Companionship Program

Puffy Paws Kitty Haven is looking for volunteers for the Kitty Care & Companionship Program, KCC volunteers improve the kitties’ chances for adoption by providing necessary companionship through socializing, exercising, and grooming the kitties.

Volunteers also assist in maintaining a clean environment for the kitties. Shifts start at Noon - 4pm or 4pm till 8 pm, Mon - Sat. Full or partial shifts available. Please call 941- 623 -8904
