Puffy Paws
Update
Oct 29th. 2008
Well a lot of thing
have been going on over here at Puffy Paws Kitty Haven.
First of all I will like to apologized in not updating
the Web site on a regular basics.
As many of you heard or some you have not, this September I had another
heart attack and had two stents put into my heart. On Election day I will be going for one more stent to be put in.
I should only be down for two days. After that I should feel 100% better and will be able to carry out my duties to the
kitties at a pace than I was not able to work at before I fall ill this summer.
We would like to thank every in
the Community who helped out with the FPL bill and all those great folk’s who donated to the kitties basic needs.
The local media was great in getting the word out that we needed help and we can not thank them enough for all that
they do for the unwanted kitties of the community.
We now have a young man name, Bobby Gilbert who is doing some
telemarketing fund raising for the kitties. He is selling Memberships to Puffy Paws Kitty Haven. Memberships starts
at $25. Bobby is getting people to pledge around $50 dollars a evening and some of his pledges are coming in already.
If we can get $100 dollars a day in pledges. This will pay for the kitties daily needs of cat food and litter
.So if you get a phone call from us, its Bobby Gilbert seeing if you would like to become a member to help out the kitties.
Also we will begin our quest for unwanted junk cars, once again so that we may sell them to raise funds for the kitties.Scrap
metal prices tanked at the end of the summer and with so many folks jumping on the band wagon the land was cleared of thousands
of unwanted cars in the tri-county area.
But cars break down every single day, gas prices are
way down and so the hunting shall be good.
In addition to this I will be doing some
Graphic Art Work on the side to raise extra money.
It seems that we are not the only folks who
are experiencing a money crunch.I guess it goes with the territory in what is going on with the nation. We were interviewed
by the Sarasota Herald Tribune for a story along with two other Humane organization on the economic hard-times.
Check
it out on Our Press link on the right.
We are in still of in need of a small 4 cylinder car
if someone who like to donate it and a Video camera with microphone inputs so we can start the TV show to raise awareness
and funds for the kitties.
Thank you for everyone who came out to the Comedy Show last month We sold $900 dollars
worth of tickets and that really helped out the kitties.
We still have lots of kittens up for adoption so please adopt
a loving kitten from Puffy Paws.
Also we always need volunteers to help out the kitties.
